Using Fuel Alternatives
EMM Resources loaders cover hundreds of thousands of kilometres each year with the transportation of mined resources. Because of this it is important to minimise our freight carbon emissions on the environment to try and get as close to carbon neutral as possible.

Biofuels have proven their worth worldwide and are have been adopted by private industry nationwide. Made from different types of biomass they convert waste product from other industry to produce a fuel that matches other 'regular' fuels although completely renewable, whilst emitting minimal carbon outputs.
Of these fuels Bio-LNG is the cleanest. Developed in the Netherlands it uses home grown materials and runs off the methane contained within. It has been estimated to save up to 65% in costs and carbon emissions which at $25 per tonne (under the carbon tax scheme) would not only help to save the environment but also cut company expenses.

Monitoring The Situation
By 2015 EMM Resources aims to have one hundred percent of its fleet fitted with Bio-LNG systems. It is important that carbon emissions as well as fuel costs are monitored and compared against earlier years results. All these results will be made readily available on the National Pollution Inventory. It is forecasted that these emissions will not only meet, but also exceed all previous figures.
